“2045”, a global social initiative based in Moscow, together with the Eurasian Center for Mega-History and Systematic Prognosis, under the aegis of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, are pleased to announce that on February 17-20 the International Conference “Global Future – 2045” will be held in the conference hall of the Radisson-Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow.

The goals of the Congress are as follows:

-  Discussion and demonstration of the newest developments in the fields of cognitive sciences, robotics, and modeling of living systems;

-  Evaluation the potential for transforming planetary civilization in light of the rapid pace of technological development;

-  Discussion of possible scenarios for the development of civilization in the context of new concepts regarding universal history, or “Big History”;

-  Discussion of strategic problems arising in a dynamically changing world and the potential for the appearance of a global or cosmic mode of thinking.

Program participants and members of the Organizing Committee of the Congress will comprise world leading physicists, biologists, anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers as well as specialists in the fields of Big History, robotics, brain-computer interfaces, neurosciences and space technology from Russia, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Japan and other countries.

The Congress will also host an Investment Forum, where business leaders can learn about technology projects related to the topics under discussion.

The three-day event will conclude with an expert roundtable discussion, summary remarks, and the finalization of a resolution to be sent to the UN for evaluation and acknowledgment of the significance of the initiatives undertaken.

The Global Social Initiative “2045”

was founded by Dmitry Itskov, President of the media holding “New Media Stars,” in February 2011 with cooperation from leading Russian specialists in the fields of neuro-interfaces and synthetic “biological” organs and systems.

The Initiative’s main goals are

-  the creation of a new conceptual framework for the development of humankind that answers the challenges facing civilization on a global level;

-  making the radical extension of human lifespan a reality with the use of cybernetic technology;

-  the formation of a culture that promotes technological progress and the synthesis of natural and artificial intelligence.

“Russia 2045” plans to found an international research center where leading scientists can work on the creation of integrated technologies for radically extending the lifespan of the individual.

The Eurasian Center for Mega-History and Systematic Prognosis under the aegis of the Institute of Oriental Studies

An authoritative academic organization working at the vanguard of a new direction in scholarly thought – the so-called “Mega History” (or “Big” or “Universal” history), the aim of which is

-  to create an integrated model of the past, including the core processes in the evolution of the universe, the Earth, biological phenomena, and material and spiritual culture;

-  to forecast social developments on both a regional and global scale with the use of complex interdisciplinary approaches.
